I have received instructions from the Representatives of the late Mr. Michael Ward to SELL by Public AUCTION, at my AUCTION MART, CLIFTON STREET, Belfast, on WEDNESDAY, the 6th day of October 1897, at the hour of ONE o'clock, ALL the ESTATE and INTEREST of the late Mr. Ward in that very popular and most central Public-house, well known as 'THE FOUNTAIN BAR', and situate at Nos. 1 & 3 Fountain Street, where a large and profitable trade has been recently carried on in the Retail Wine and Spirit Business.
The Large Bar on the ground floor is splendidly equipped with the most perfect and most modern requirements known to the trade. Besides first -- class Mahogony Counter, Fittings, with a complete Set of Beer Pumps and a number of neat and capacious Stock Casks, there are also on the ground floor portion of the premises a number of Closed and Open Drinking Boxes, all well lighted, and the Electric Bells in the Shop lend much to the accommodation of the public. There are Two Entrances to the Premises (private and public), leading from Fountain Street. The private entrance, while communicating with the Shop, also leads to the room and kitchen on the second floor. THAT FARM, containing about 15 Acres, Irish Plantation Measure, and now in possession of Defendant, CATHERINE FEGAN, held as a Judicial Tenancy under Lord Annesley, at the Yearly Judicial Rent of £19, and situate in the Townland of Tamery, and County of Down.
DESCRIPTIVE PARTICULARS: The FARM is situate about 3 miles from Mayobridge and 3 miles from the town of Rathfriland. It is in a good state of cultivation, and is well watered and fenced, and the Buildings are in good order.
